Including your personalized DPC link in your Instagram bio:
You can write a bio of up to 150 characters on your profile. Please keep in mind that anyone can see your bio.
To edit your bio:
- Go to your profile by tapping
- Tap Edit Profile at the top of the screen
- Write your bio and add the URL to your website
- Tap Done (iPhone) or (Android)
NOTE: Instagram does not currently allow live links in their posts. Instagram Stories has the “Swipe Up” feature that will enable live links, but it’s currently only available to Instagram business accounts with over 10,000 followers or verified accounts.
However, in the caption of your Instagram post, you can point followers to your bio to click on your site. Say something like “Link in bio” or include the link emoji.
Another option you may want to consider is Linktree. It’s a free service that allows you to create a sort of mini website for your Instagram page. Sign up with your Instagram account on the Linktree website then paste your Linktree URL in your bio. You can update your Linktree with a new link every time you post, and then just put in the caption “link in bio”.
Creating ads on Instagram:
If you’re new to advertising on Instagram, here’s how to get started.
- Create a business Page and profile.
You must have a Facebook Page to run ads and create a free business profile on Instagram. If you don’t have one yet, create a Page.
- Set up your ad.
Select your ad objective, target audience and ad format in Ads Manager. Or select a post you’ve already shared on Instagram and tap Promote. We recommend you let Instagram automatically create an audience of people similar to your existing followers.
- Determine your budget.
Decide how long your ads will run and what budget you’re comfortable with spending.
- Publish your ad.
Now that your ads are ready to go, hit publish. You’ll get a notification when your ads are approved and ready to run.
